Chateau De Vue is located at 88 Minew Road, in Lexington, NY, in the beautiful Catskill Mountains.
Lexington is a scenic town in the southwest part of Greene County, New York, located in the Catskill Mountains. The town was first settled in 1788., In 1813 it established itself as the Town of New Goshen, to honor the settlers who hailed from Goshen, Connecticut. Just months later, the town’s name was changed to Lexington, in tribute to the Lexington/Concord Battle, in a show of patriotic pride.
The charming town of Lexington, with a population of under 1,000, is the perfect address for our retreat. An ideal location, it lies in close proximity to a number of tourist attractions and recreational facilities offering winter sports and summer activities. Lexington is situated near state parks, as well as towns and villages known for their arts, culture, entertainment, and history.
Hunter Mountain is just a ten-minute drive from Chateau De Vue. Well known by sport enthusiasts, Hunter Mountain boasts the highest peak in the county and the second highest peak in the Catskills. The Hunter Mountain ski area is open for skiing and tubing in the winter, and biking, sightseeing, zip lining, and hiking in the summer. The Hunter Mountain annual music festival is listed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the top ten in the country.
Windham Mountain is a mere fifteen-minute drive away from us. Windham Mountain, the home of one of New York State’s finest and largest downhill ski and snowboarding centers, is also famous for its two championship 18-hole golf courses, snow tubing at the Mountaintop Adventure Park, a recreational lake located at C.D. Lane Park, and DEC-maintained hiking trails through Catskill Park.
Tannersville is just an eighteen minute drive from Chateau De Vue. Its close proximity to Hunter Mountain allows it to serve as an active nightspot for skiers. In the summer season, Tannersville is a popular destination for Orthodox Jewish residents from New York City. There are currently four Orthodox synagogues operating in the summer season, as well as a kosher supermarket.
Woodstock, an active artists’ colony, is a quick forty-minute drive from us.
